About Katie Cano

I’m a dreamer with a tiny book and a blog! What started as a personal goal to self-publish has blossomed into something more—I’ve sold 43 copies and given away 26! Seeing my books move out into the world feels incredible, and I’m deeply grateful. Someday, I’ll write my memoir and become a best-selling author!

About Bold & Lively

At Bold & Lively, I have one goal: to inspire and empower you to live your most authentic life. Life is full of challenges, but it’s also packed with endless potential for growth, healing, and transformation—no matter where you’ve been or what you’ve been through.

What makes Bold & Lively different? Here, we embrace life’s ups and downs. Like a pendulum, life swings between joy and hardship, light and dark. But both are vital parts of our journey. Together, we’ll explore how to find peace, happiness, and success while acknowledging that the road isn’t always easy. The truth? It’s not supposed to be easy. But it’s absolutely worth it.

I’ll share my growth journey through personal stories, actionable tips, and heartfelt reflections—hoping to inspire yours. I’m not just writing for you; I’m right here with you, navigating the messiness of life, using tools from positive psychology and my own experiences to create a life that feels true and fulfilling. Someday, I’ll write my memoir, but for now, it all starts here, with Bold & Lively.

So, if you’re ready to live boldly, embrace the light (and darkness), and build a life you love, you’ve come to the right place. Let’s walk this path together.

Why Personal Development?

Well, aside from being a self-proclaimed psychology nerd (armed with both a BS and MS!), I’ve struggled. A lot! Life has thrown its fair share of challenges my way—setbacks and turmoil—but after years of toiling, I’ve finally decided to say: enough is enough!

Confidence has always been my biggest challenge. No matter how hard I worked or how much I achieved, I often felt like I wasn’t good enough. My inner critic? Brutal. I could be the first to offer kindness and support to a friend in need, yet I found it almost impossible to show that same compassion to myself. Always giving, but never feeling worthy of receiving. The truth is, I know I won’t reach my full potential if I let these inner battles hold me back.

Honestly, putting myself out there scares me (I’m sort of an introvert), and it isn’t easy sharing personal experiences and struggles (especially in a seemingly perfect world). But deep down, I have this undeniable desire to open up—to share what I’ve learned, the highs and lows, with anyone who might be walking a similar path. Out of all the things I could do, this feels like the one thing I can truly offer to fulfill my purpose.

I wholeheartedly believe that no matter the obstacles you face, you have the power to change your circumstances and live the life you truly want. I’m here to remind you that the power to grow, heal, and transform is within you.
